Warren and Rumney - New Hampshire
Located in the Baker River Valley, Rumney and Warren boast unique features. Hidden back roads provide visitors with off the beaten path experiences with access to swimming holes, paddling, tubing, and walking trails.
Warren is home to a Cold War era Redstone Rocket, which is said to be the only missile installed in a public park. The missile is a replica of the booster rocket that lifted Alan B. Shepard, America’s first astronaut, into space on his brief sub-orbital trip. Rumney Rocks Climbing Area, a world renowned rock-climbing destination, features hundreds of rock and ice climbs.
The Warren Recreation Trail is an awesome multi-use, multi-season trail, designed for mountain bikes, ATVs, snowshoes, cross-country skis, and snowmobiles. This 4-mile trail offers beautiful scenery and runs along Black Brook. One of New Hampshire’s Rail Trails, the trail begins on Route 25 in the quaint village of Warren, near the Redstone Rocket and eventually connects with the Mount Moosilauke ATV trail system.
