Mt. Washington Valley - New Hampshire
Mount Washington Valley is in the Eastern side of the White Mountains and is a beautiful destination for your next vacation. It is easy to see why visitors and artists at the turn of the century were so captivated by the vast mountain landscape of the region, as it is still a draw for visitors, today. “The Valley” as locals refer to it is comprised of 25 towns from Fryeburg, Maine, to Jackson, from Chocorua to Gorham and every town between Crawford and Pinkham Notch.
Several major attractions are in the Mount Washington Valley including Story Land, Attitash Mountain Resort, the Conway Scenic Railroad, and Cranmore Mountain Resort. It is also home to many incredible natural and man-made features including incredible waterfalls, the iconic Madison Boulder, the Presidential Rail Trail, the Saco River, and historic covered bridges. Lake Chocorua in Tamworth is a picturesque lake with commanding views of Mount Chocorua, which has been named one of America’s most photographed mountains.
The Mount Washington Valley is certainly a four-season playground as it is dotted with golf courses, along with many miles of mountain bike trails, and do not forget the incredible cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter months. There are also many types of lodging properties including historic B & B’s, larger chain hotels, grand hotels, family-fun motels, and family-friendly campgrounds. Regardless of the season, there is always something to captivate you in the Mount Washington Valley.
