Annual Kids Free Fishing Day at Wildcat Mountain Pond – Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Pinkham Notch, NH – The Annual Kids Free Fishing Day at Wildcat Mountain is scheduled for this Saturday, June 5th at the Wildcat Mountain pond located in Pinkham Notch. Kids aged 15 and under are invited to fish from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., followed by afternoon fishing for all ages. There is no charge for the day, no fishing license is necessary, and all are welcome.

Jeff Swayze, a fly fisherman with Agiocochook Fly Fishing Adventures with many years of experience fishing local waters, will be on hand to offer kids one-on-one instructions in rigging gear and all things having to do with fish and fishing. Jeff will also offer two fly fishing demonstrations, one at 9:30 a.m. and again at 12:30 p.m. with an opportunity for anyone interested to give it a try. Prizes will be awarded during the morning session.

Kids Free Fishing Day will happen rain or shine. Kids should bring an adult and their own gear. The fishing pond at Wildcat Mountain is accessible via the “C lot” entrance located approximately a quarter mile past the main entrance on the north-bound side of Rt. 16 heading toward Gorham, New Hampshire.
