Pinkham Notch, NH—On Monday, June 14 and Thursday, June 17, the Mt. Washington Auto Road invites motorcyclists to “Ride to the Sky,” with two motorcycle-only days. As part of the Laconia Bike Week tradition, the Mt. Washington Auto Road will be closed to cars both days.

Sponsored by Profile Powersports, Ride to the Sky has become an integral part of Laconia Bike Week. Each year thousands of bikes make the journey to the top of New England during the two motorcycle only days offered by the Mt. Washington Auto Road. Cars are not allowed on the Mt. Washington Auto Road during these two days. Thursday will feature an expo and barbecue at the base of the mountain.

During both motorcycle-only days, passengers ride free from 7:30a.m. – 10:00a.m.

The Mt. Washington Auto Road is open daily throughout Laconia Motorcycle Week from 7:30a.m. – 6:00p.m., weather permitting. Guided tours in the famous Mt. Washington Stage Vans will still be available throughout the week and during both motorcycle-only days. An official event photographer from www.phantombiker.com will be on site all week capturing images of the motorcycles.

###

First opened in 1861 as the Mt. Washington Carriage Road, the Mt. Washington Auto Road is the country’s oldest manmade attraction. Located on Rt. 16 in Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire, just north of the Mount Washington Valley and minutes south of Gorham, the Auto Road has a long and winding history, much like its 7.6 mile trip up to the summit of the highest peak in the Northeast. For more information, visit www.MtWashingtonAutoRoad.com or call 603-466-3988.
